From the Manufacturer This is an Academy 1/72 scale plastic model kit. This is the 10th addition to Academy's 1/72 ground vehicle sets. The Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) series is a range of Eight-wheel drive, diesel powered off-road capable trucks. They are used for direct rearming of the Multiple Launch Rocket System, transport of Patriot erectors/launchers, resupply of field artillery ammunition, refueling of tracked vehicles, wheeled vehicles and helicopters in forward areas, and forward area rearm in armor, cavalry and infantry units, and recovery of disabled wheeled and tracked vehicles. HEMTT trucks first went into service with the U.S. Army in 1982. This extensive and highly detailed Academy kit contains 100% new tooling with full cab and cargo area detail, and an accuratly reproduced chassis and drive train. Complete with Loading crane, this is a welcome addition and enhancement to ground vehicle builders and collectors in this smaller scale.
